ENGINEERING RESEARCH INSTITUTE * UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN MIXING OF SUPERSONIC JETS The modifications of the 4" x 4" variable Mach number supersonic wind tunnel, which will be necessary for the jet mixing program, are still in the design stage. These modifications may be divided into three groups: (1) Design of the nozzle blocks for the secondary jet; (2) design of a new diffusor section; (3) design of a settling chamber for the secondary jet.
