Participants discussed at length how their treatment and experiences led to, sidetracked, or thwarted their attempts as scientists, engineers, or technicians.

She worked as a research scientist at both the University and Parke-Davis, as a Professor of Biology at Onondaga Community College, and as a technical writer for Shared Medical Systems. Barbara has four children.

She then when to work at North American Aviation as an aerodynamics engineer, raised four children, and resumed her career as an aerospace engineer for the Navy at Point Mugu.
