University of Michigan, School of Natural Resources
This article contains planting notes for Stinchfield Woods. It lists the defining species for each lot, other species found in each, and the year that they were planted.
In 1965, the University of Michigan, Department of Forestry, published a report documenting Stinchfield Woods, including the Newcomb Tract entitled "A Guide to Stinchfield Woods (1965)". The report listed information about specific lots within the forest including planting data, notes about damage from insects, weather, or fire, the number of trees of each species, their basal area, height, diameter at breast height, and some data related to thinning or harvesting that was conducted before 1965. This article contains planting notes Stinchfield Woods. It lists the defining species for each lot, other species found in each, and the year that they were planted. Fuller documentation for each lot can be found in "A Guide to Stinchfield Woods (1965)."

<title>Saginaw Forest and Stinchfield Woods Scanned Field Sampling Forms</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/2027.42/91023</link>
<description>Saginaw Forest and Stinchfield Woods Scanned Field Sampling Forms
University of Michigan, Environmental Spatial Analysis Lab; University of Michigan, International Forestry Resources and Institutions
This field project was developed and implemented by ESALab project staff and students, field measurements were collected by both groups at Stinchfield Woods. The Saginaw Forest data were collected and processed by ESALab staff and students. Data collected continued from 2010-2011. These field forms were those used by the researchers on site and were scanned for this deposit. The original forms still exist if needed. The table of contents in the PDF file is arranged by Lot (eg: SW-56), and each Lot typically contained a number of smaller Plots (eg: 1, 2, 3, etc.). For each Plot that was sampled, researchers recorded data in a booklet. For purposes of completeness, all pages were scanned for this document, even those with no recorded data.
