dc.description.abstractLibrary and information science (LIS) students benefit from an introduction to professional library conferences during their graduate studies. While they are invited to attend library conferences, participating can be intimidating without prior experience. To provide this necessary experience, the ALA student chapter at the University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) has hosted QuasiCon, an annual student-led conference, for the last five years.en_US
