dc.description.abstract | Drawing on the Upper-Echelons Perspective and Resource-Based View of the firm this paper explores effects of human-based resources of entrepreneurs, viz., social capital, human capital and entrepreneurial versatility, on firm performance in the context of a large transition economy - the Russian Federation. The empirical data is comprised of the face-to-face interviews with 75 Russian entrepreneurs in 1995 and the follow-up interviews with 56 original respondents in 1999.
