RSS and the WebPAC - Using Incoming Feeds Display and RSS Feed Builder Applications

Abstract

With Release 2006 LE, WebOPAC pages can display RSS feeds in a great variety of formats. In this presentation, the speakers will expand upon the 2005 presentation and discuss ways to take advantage of this new feature of the WebOPAC. Also, the presenters will be discussing the new outgoing feeds with the 2006 Feed Builder product. The presenters will be focusing on both the technology itself and then talk about how RSS can enrich the user’s experience. Session will also include information on 2007 release changes to this feature. This presentation focused on the changes and pages created at the Kresge Business Administration Library at the University of Michigan and was presented at the Innovative Users Group meeting in San Jose, California, May 14-17, 2007
