Vertical distribution and species richness of algae on nutrient rich and sodium chloride saturated substrates in Douglas Lake.
Brown, Julie
1990
Abstract: Vertical distribution and species richness were studied on varying substrates in Douglas Lake, Pellston, MI. Dowels soaked in nutrient solution, salt solution, and water were placed in the lake. There was an obvious difference in biomass among treatments, the nutrient solution having more algal growth. There was some difference in floral composition in all treatments. The data was not able to show statistically significant differences in vertical distribution.
