Abstract

What kinds of algae and diatoms grow in the Grand River as it flows through heavily farmed, industrialized and populated Ionia? How does this river comapre with rivers of similar size and a relatively pristine habitats in Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan? These were the questions I tried to answer with this research project.
