Adiantum pedatum is a graceful fern with fan-shaped, arching blades upheld on shiny deep purple stipes. Adiatum pedatum has long been valued as a horticulturally cultivated fern and may be present as garden escapes in some locations. The Greek word ""adiantos"" literally means ""unwetted"" referring to the glabrous fronds from which raindrops are shed.en_US
