Throughout the months of July and August of 1997 I studied the habits of the ericaceous shrub Gaylussacia baccata. All study was purely observational, and most notes were taken during field trips of the Field Botany class. The following is a summary of these observations, as well as any pertinent information from the literature. Observations at each site are enclosed in an appendix. Because of time limitations notes for some sites are not as complete as would be desired.en_US
