Skin hardness and elasticity vary from person to person and from location to location for a given person. Furthermore, they vary with the persons age, the rate of testing, and the test scale. This project will develop a tool that measures the resistance of a localized skin section to stretching at selectable rates and size scales (ranging from hundreds of microns to centimeters) and the resistance of a skin section to indentation at different rates with different indenter shapes.en_US
