Symmetry tests in atomic physics

Abstract

Recent and continuing tests of the discrete space‐time symmetries, charge conjugation, spatial reflection, and time reversal, using atomic systems are reviewed. Particular emphasis is given to investigations searching for the effects of neutral current interactions which are predicted by unified gauge models of weak and electromagnetic interations. Also the present limits for electric dipole moments of elementary particles are discussed.
