dc.description.abstractThis is the first interview with filmmaker Adachi Masao since his disappearance in the mid-1970s and his long exile in Lebanon. It was conducted while he was in a Lebanese prison, with questions relayed through friends. Unfortunately, his answers were confiscated by prison officials and only the questions were published in the March 2000 issue. He finally answered the questions a second time from a Japanese prison after being extradited; these were published by Eiga Geijutsu in the this spring issue and the subsequent summer issue.en_US
