Abstract

This interview with Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences archivist, Michael Friend, explored the implications of digital technologies for film restoration. It is in both English and Japanese, and was published in the form of a pamphlet inside a larger catalog for a cinema centenary event organized by the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival.
