Description: Local Name: Ataköy Local Informant: Halil Yoruk, muhtar of Ataköy Local Information: Marble blocks in this place for at least forty years. The old "goat path" used to pass by here, and the blocks were used as stepping stone to get on donkeys or horses. Latitude: 37.44.31.26 Longitude: 28.42.32.94 Elevation: 586 Dimensions: Block 1: H: 0.80m, W: 0.56m, D: 0.47m ** Block 2: H: 0.80m, W: 0.43.5m Description: Block 1 is a worked marble pedestals and may have been inscribed on one side, now erased. Block 2 is a large block with rounded end and cutting in top, heavily damaged on all sides, perhaps Byzantine Finds: Another fragment of a base was found approximately 8 m south of the two larger blocks. There was also a column base (28.42.555/37.44.477/elev 580m), a column fragment of diameter 50.cm (28.42.550/7.44.473/elev 579m) and a pedestal base(28.42.557/37.44.484/elev 584m) across the road on the south slope.
