Description: Two non-joining fragments of a marble screen panel decorated with a cross were found on the steep right (northern) bank of the Morsynus river. The smaller piece was found at the base of the bank and the larger about halfway up the bank. The decoration is carved in low relief and consists of a cross with flaring arms inscribed within a circle (Diam: approx. 0.50m) surrounded by a plain linear border. The panel is Early Christian in its general features. The panel could come from a screen, perhaps from the barrier along the solea or templon, or from some area of a wealthy Christian's villa. The fragments first were recorded in 2005 and found again in the same spot mid-way up the stream bank in 2008.
