dc.descriptionDescription: Two large fragments of the bottom of the same garland sarcophagus. Upside down in a field wall with several architectural blocks including two column bases. ** (1.) Preserves entire depth, small pieces of front, right, and back walls. Back worked with large claw chisel. On the front, one leaf preserved at the lower right corner, perhaps an acanthus support for a Nike. On the right, the tip of a trailing ribbon in low relief and an abraded and broken lower portion of the corner support figure. The front and right sides have beveled socle molding. ** (2.) Preserves parts of front and left short sides. The front left corner preserves a small portion of the corner support figure, the tip of a ribbon, and beveled lower molding. On the left, the decorated surface is broken away.en_US
