Description: Local Name: Aphrodisias, Northeast Necropolis Local Information: Field 2450 ** Olives and high grass Latitude: 37.42.42.5 Longitude: 28.43.45.6 Elevation: 532m Dimensions: H: 0.95 m; W: 1.14 m; wall Th: 0.16 m Description: Fragment from a sarcophagus panel; preserves part of the upper lip and part of the right edge, most of its height, and about two-thirds its width. Near sarcophagus lid fragments D100 and F038. ** Large wall fragment of a half-finished garland sarcophagus chest, probably the long side of a triple garland sarcophagus, but possibly a short side with two garlands. Preserves the rough forms of two garlands with hanging grape clusters, with large, round, uncarved bosses in the lunettes. On the right edge, part of a corner support figure is preserved, and in the center, a wider rectangular support figure between the garlands. ** Point added to system 16 June 2008
