This session was for the Michigan Library Association's "The Library as Place" Workshop at the Novi Public Library, May 31, 2013.en_US
This presentation explores some of the resources and services that an academic business library may provide for local and state-wide business as they search for information. To this end, and to tie to the meeting theme, the library as space is viewed in two different fashions. There is first the physical library space, which is critical for housing collections and providing walk-in access to library resources. Then there is the ethereal space, where people see the library not as a building, but as a lifeline to information. This is what drives people to connect with us from all over the state and beyond. In addition, the presentation will cover many of the services that we have provided for members of the outside community.en_US
