UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN SPECIAL COLLECTIONS LIBRARY
PRESENTS AN ONLINE EXHIBIT

OHIO AT MICHIGAN:
IMPORTANT HOLDINGS FROM THE STATE OF OHIO

The “Ohio at Michigan” online exhibit highlights a selection of unusual and rare items that originated in the state of Ohio and are now held in the Special Collections Library at the University of Michigan. Each one has been chosen to represent a deep collection of similar materials, and thereby the exhibit as a whole also illustrates some of the richest collections of the University of Michigan Library.

The Special Collections Library at the University of Michigan provides both access and security for some of the most valuable and rare materials in the University Library. Its holdings range from medieval manuscripts, early books, and finely printed books to literary and political archives. Particularly notable are its holdings in literature, theatre history, the history of mathematics and astronomy, political and economic history, archives and publications related to social radicalism, and the history of transportation. The Library provides a Reading Room open to any interested user in which its materials may be used, and has regularly changing exhibits highlighting its collections.
