A poster proclaims "FOR SVOBODA! FOR DUBCEK! TRUTH WILL PREVAIL!"--one of many slogans punning on President Svoboda's name, which means "freedom" in Czech. At the top is a stanza from "There are Enough of Us" by the nineteenth-century poet Svatopluk Cech:

[Let there be] only passion in our hearts, the valor of heroes of legend,
and we will be an army of unsuspected strength.
Only he who has lost faith in himself is weak,
and petty is he who knows only a petty goal.
