Ray Technoskepticism Promo Captioned === Rayvon Fouché: [00:00:00] Hi, I'm Rayvon Fouché. I'm a professor at Northwestern University, holding joint appointments in the Medill School of Journalism and the School of Communication. So, I think this is the question. It's like, where are the places that we're trying to figure out and develop new scholarship that allows us to think differently about this space between complete refusal, where we can say, we do not want to participate in any of these flows of technology, we're going to extract ourselves from the conversation. To the naive, optimistic version of saying all things technological are great and wonderful. And we are living in a moment where these two narratives are shaping our society and our culture. And how can we move forward and think collaboratively and collectively about how we can develop new scholarship that's asking questions about the place of race, disability, gender, and sexuality, and general difference in the development of a technoscientific future?
