Meet Tally Hall

Listen to an excerpt: "Good Day" mp3 (requires audio plugin)

The rocking quintet Tally Hall consists of five U-M undergrads: Rob Cantor (majoring in molecular and cellular biology, pre-med), Zubin Sedghi (biology, pre-med), Andrew Horowitz (composition and English Lit), Ross Federman (molecular and cellular biology, pre-med) and Joe Hawley (film and writing). All are from suburban Detroit except New Jerseyite Horowitz.

Our excerpt "Good Day" is from their debut CD Complete Demos.

T shirt honoring the band's wonkiest hero, Banana Man, the subject of an eponymous song. Find out more about Tally Hall's members and the music they are producing at http://www.tallyhall.com/

Formed in 2002, the band has a definite Beatlesque quality, a fact underscored by Andrew Horowitz's winning the 2004 John Lennon Scholarship Competition sponsored by the BMI music company in Britain.

They describe their musical identity as "wonky three-part harmony and crafty songs." Their name: It's from a suburban food court no longer in existence.
