- ABSTRACT: We present a statistical study of interchange injections in Saturn's inner and middle magnetosphere focusing on the dependence of occurrence rate and properties on radial distance, partial pressure, and local time distribution. Events are evaluated from over the entirety of the Cassini mission’s equatorial orbits between 2005 and 2016. We identified interchange events from CHarge Energy Mass Spectrometer (CHEMS) H+ data using a trained and tested automated algorithm, which has been compared with manual event identification for optimization. We provide estimates of interchange based on intensity, which we use to investigate current inconsistencies in local time occurrence rates. This represents the first automated detection method of interchange, estimation of injection event intensity, and comparison between interchange injection survey results. We find the peak rates of interchange occur between 7 - 9 Saturn radii and that this range coincides with the most intense events as defined by H+ partial particle pressure. We determine that nightside occurrence dominates as compared to the dayside injection rate, supporting the hypothesis of an inversely dependent instability growth rate on local Pedersen ionospheric conductivity. Additionally, we observe a slight preference for intense events on the dawn side, supporting a triggering mechanism related to large-scale injections from downtail reconnection. Our observed local time dependence paints a dynamic picture of interchange triggering due to both the large-scale injection driven process and ionospheric conductivity. Within this repository we provide a readme file (description of data file and usage) and the event list provided as a .txt file. The event list includes start and stop times, comparison to previous surveys, and the average location of events identified. - This data is a subset of the data used to generate components of all figures in the manuscript and supplement in Nason et al., 2021, Neuron. The purpose of the study was to demonstrate the first-ever simultaneous brain-control of two independent groups of fingers in one hand with some analysis of cortical tuning to finger movements in nonhuman primates. This advises future brain-machine interfaces for the control of finger movements with humans. All of the data is contained in .mat files, which can be commonly opened by Matlab and the Python scipy library. The Matlab packages (and versions) used for the manuscript are: MATLAB (9.4), Signal Processing Toolbox (8.0), Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox (11.3), and Curve Fitting Toolbox (3.5.7).

- Rotating Magnetic Field (RMF) thrusters are a form of electrodeless plasma propulsion. This technology is a low maturity but potentially enabling candidate for high-power in-space propulsion for use with alternative propellants. The purpose of the data here, and the associated publication is to evaluate the phenomenological efficiency modes for this thruster test article to explain and understand its overall efficiency. These modes include divergence, power coupling, mass utilization, and plasma/acceleration efficiency. Additional time-resolved measurements of the internal plasma properties were performed using a triple Langmuir probe to evaluate energy loss processes within the thruster.

- As part of the Flaring & Fossil Fuels: Uncovering Emissions & Losses (F3UEL) project, the aircraft measurement platform sampled downwind of flares in the Permian and Eagle Ford regions of Texas (2020) and the Bakken in North Dakota (2021). Estimates of methane destruction removal efficiency are calculated for each airborne intercept of a flare combustion plume based on the observed enhancements of carbon dioxide and methane, along with assumptions about the flare gas composition. Locations provided are the GPS coordinates for the aircraft sampling, not of the upwind flare infrastructure on the ground. Attempts to link the airborne sampling locations to ground infrastructure using the provided wind information (measured at the aircraft), should take care to account for complexities of transport in the atmosphere.

F3UEL: Flaring & Fossil Fuels: Uncovering Emissions & Losses

- Fossil energy production, processing, flaring, and transmission all can harm climate and air quality by emitting greenhouse gases and air pollutants. Studies now show that onshore oil and gas production emit much more methane than what is inventoried, and that local air quality impacts can be significant, however, natural gas flaring and offshore systems have been largely overlooked. The F3UEL (Flaring & Fossil Fuels: Uncovering Emissions & Losses) project aims to address these gaps by improving our understanding of offshore emissions, characterizing how flares behave in the real world, identifying what portion of the offshore system is responsible for emissions, and determining how such systems can be monitored. Spanning three years (2020-2022), the project employed an aircraft platform to measure including both greenhouse gas and air quality measurements. To sample the largest regions of current and potential future offshore production and flaring, airborne measurements targeted the Gulf of Mexico, offshore California and Alaska, the Bakken Formation (North Dakota) and the Permian and Eagle Ford Basins (Texas). Data provided here includes the airborne measurements collected using Scientific Aviation’s Mooney aircraft platform, equipped with spectroscopic instrumentation to measure methane, carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and nitrogen oxide, in addition to meteorological variables such as wind speed and direction. Data products from our analysis of these airborne measurements are also provided, including estimated flare destruction removal efficiency for the Bakken, Eagle Ford, and Permian basins. Each data file is in .csv format and is accompanied by a readme file with further information and descriptors of the variables included. - As part of a project to develop side impact test procedures for evaluating wheelchairs, wheelchair tiedowns and occupant restraint systems (WTORS), and vehicle-based occupant protection systems for wheelchair seating stations, we created validated finite element (FE) models to support procedure development. Models were constructed using LS-DYNA. Dynamic sled tests were performed to validate the FE models of surrogate fixtures and commercial hardware. Validated FE models were developed for the Surrogate wheelchair base (SWCB), Surrogate wheelchair for side impact (SWCSI), a manual wheelchair (Ki Mobility Catalyst 5), and a power wheelchair (Quantum Rehab Edge 2.0). Additional FE models of a heavy-duty anchor meeting the Universal Docking Interface Geometry (UDIG), surrogate four-point strap tiedowns (SWTORS), a traditional docking station, and the surrogate wall fixture were also developed.

- The eastern coastal basins of Brazil are a series of small and isolated rivers that drain directly into the Atlantic Ocean. During the Pleistocene, sea-level retreat caused by glaciations exposed the continental shelf, resulting in enlarged paleodrainages that connected rivers that are isolated today. Using Geographic Information System (GIS), we infer the distribution of these paleodrainages, and their properties for the east Brazilian coast. Here, we publicly make available the shapefiles that demonstrate the paleodrainage structure along the Brazilian coast during the largest sea-level retreats in the Pleistocene, the riverine vectors during the same period and the coastal line for a drop of -125m in the sea.

- To produce this dataset, three modes of the flywheel were tested. The first was with the flywheel off, which produced a baseline for roll without stabilization. The second mode was active stabilization with the flywheel spinning. An IMU on board took in roll in degrees. An Arduino uno used the roll angle to precess the flywheel to a degree that countered the roll. The last mode was passive stabilization with the flywheel on. Here, the precession belt was removed which allowed the flywheel to freely precess and counter the moment generated by the roll.

- Precipitation impacts on ice cover and water temperature in the Laurentian Great Lakes were examined using state-of-art coupled ice-hydrodynamic models. Numerical experiments were conducted for the recent anomalously cold (2014-2015) and warm (2015-2016) winters that were accompanied by high and low ice coverage over the lakes, respectively. The results of numerical experiments showed that, snow cover on the ice, which is the manifestation of winter precipitation, reduced the total ice volume (or mean ice thickness) in all of the Great Lakes, shortened the ice duration, and allowed earlier warming of water surface. The reduced ice volume was due to the thermal insulation of snow cover. The surface albedo was also increased by snow cover, but its impact on the delay the melting of ice was overcome by the thermal insulation effect. During major snowstorms, snowfall over the open lake caused notable cooling of the water surface due to latent heat absorption. Overall, the sensible heat flux from rain in spring and summer was found to have negligible impacts on the water surface temperature. Although uncertainties remain in over-lake precipitation estimates and model’s representation of snow on the ice, this study demonstrated that winter precipitation, particularly snowfall on the ice and water surfaces, is an important contributing factor in Great Lakes ice production and thermal conditions from late fall to spring.

Galaxy Shape Catalogs for Dark Energy Survey Science Verification (DES-SV) Data - Additional Regions

- This dataset is associated with the University of Michigan Dept. of Physics dissertation titled "Shedding Light on the Dark: Exploring the Relation Between Galaxy Cluster Mass and Temperature Through Weak Gravitational Lensing" by Rutuparna Das. It is also associated with a paper, currently in preparation, by Das et al (details to be added once paper is submitted/accepted)., This work contains information about shapes of galaxies observed by the Dark Energy Survey (DES) during its Science Verification (SV) run. The official DES SV shape catalog has already been released to the public (see details in Jarvis et al. (2016), henceforth called "J16"). This work follows the methods presented in J16, and contains shapes from areas of the sky that were not processed as part of the official DES-SV catalog but were necessary for the work presented in the aforementioned dissertation. Each catalog contains information for galaxies in a 80′ × 80′ cutout centered at a given galaxy cluster., Note that these catalogs are not entirely analogous to the official DES-SV catalog. For one, we only measure shapes for galaxies, as stars and other objects were not needed for the dissertation. Our catalogs also only extend to a magnitude of 24 in r-band, whereas a small fraction of the objects in the official Im3shape catalog are dimmer (see Figure 29 of J16)., We also include other information necessary for weak lensing studies. Geotechnical observations of weathered rock across a tectonic and climatic gradient in Central Nepal

- These datasets support the findings of Medwedeff et al. (2021) in JGR: Earth Surface. In this article, we present seismic and geotechnical characterizations of the shallow subsurface across a 200 km by 50 km swath of the central Himalayan Range, in Nepal. By pairing widely-distributed 1D shear wave velocity surveys and engineering outcrop descriptions per the Geological Strength Index classification system, we evaluate landscape-scale patterns in near-surface mechanical characteristics and their relation to environmental factors known to affect rock strength. We find that near-surface strength is more dependent on the degree of weathering, rather than the mineral and textural differences between the metamorphic lithologies found in the central Himalaya. Furthermore, weathering varies systematically with topography. Bedrock ridge top sites are highly weathered and have S-wave seismic velocities and shear strength characteristics that are more typical of engineering soils, whereas sites near the bedrock channel bottom tend to be less weathered and characterized by high S-wave velocities and shear strength estimates typical of hard rock. Weathering of bedrock on hillslopes is significantly more variable, resulting in S-wave velocities that range between the ridge and channel endmembers. We hypothesize variability in the hillslope environment may be partly explained by the stochastic nature of mass wasting, which clears away weathered material where landslide scars are recent. These results underscore the mechanical heterogeneity in the shallow subsurface and highlight the need to account for bedrock weathering when estimating strength parameters for regional landslide hazard analysis.

- GIS (.lpkx) data layers that inform of areas to construct new rain gardens in Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Data layers can be opened with a GIS program. There is a single .lpkx dataset that contains four layers. The first layer contains 'Wildlife Corridors' which contains information on where to prioritize new green infrastructure based on how well-connected different patches of forested areas are. The second layer, 'Social Inequality', shows where to prioritize new rain gardens based on social inequality criteria. The 'Creeksheds and Future Runoff' contains information on future changes in precipitation runoff based on climate change projections of rainfall. Lastly, 'Runoff/Water Quality' is a layer that includes a priority map regarding where new rain gardens should be developed based on areas that are most at risk of poor water quality and enhanced surface run-off. The project was completed for Washtenaw County Water Resources as part of a course taught at the University of Michigan, CLIMATE 592. A description of the course is also provided: "Introduction to individual and team research on real-world problems in the area of applied climate. On a research project started in CLIMATE 591 and guided by a mentor from a commercial or government laboratory, students will apply the principles of risk analysis and objective assessment of adaptive strategies".

Health facilities were selected based the number ANC registrants per month and average gestational age of women at registration in each facility., and Facilities were then matched based on facility type, district, and number of monthly ANC registrants. A cluster randomized controlled trial was conducted in 14 facilities in four districts of the Eastern Region of Ghana. Health facilities were randomized using a matched pairs design; each pair was similar in the number of deliveries and average gestational age of the women at enrollment in antenatal care. The locations of the facilities were far enough apart to avoid cross-group contamination. In each pair of facilities, one was randomly assigned to the intervention (G-ANC) and the other to the control (I-ANC). Recruitment began July 2019 and ended when enrollment targets were met. Data collection ended July 2023 when data collection was complete.

- The rapid activation of the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex-1 (mTORC1) by growth factors is increased by extracellular amino acids through yet-undefined mechanisms of amino acid transfer into endolysosomes. Because the endocytic process of macropinocytosis concentrates extracellular solutes into endolysosomes and is increased in cells stimulated by growth factors or tumor-promoting phorbol esters, we analyzed its role in amino acid–dependent activation of mTORC1. Here, we show that growth factor-dependent activation of mTORC1 by amino acids, but not glucose, requires macropinocytosis. In murine bone marrow–derived macrophages and murine embryonic fibroblasts stimulated with their cognate growth factors or with phorbol myristate acetate, activation of mTORC1 required an Akt-independent vesicular pathway of amino acid delivery into endolysosomes, mediated by the actin cytoskeleton. Macropinocytosis delivered small, fluorescent fluid-phase solutes into endolysosomes sufficiently fast to explain growth factor–mediated signaling by amino acids. Therefore, the amino acid–laden macropinosome is an essential and discrete unit of growth factor receptor signaling to mTORC1

- The University of Michigan’s Head and Neck Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) included an epidemiology project that approached every previously untreated adult head and neck squamous carcinoma (HNSCC) patient evaluated in the multidisciplinary Head and Neck Oncology Program of the University of Michigan (UM; Ann Arbor, MI) Comprehensive Cancer Center for participation in our longitudinal epidemiology study. This analytic dataset includes the most commonly requested covariates and outcome variables for survival analysis of this cohort of HNSCC patients. Data cleaning and creation of this analysis dataset was performed with SAS software v 9.3 (Carey,NC) by a biostatistician supporting multiple projects in the University of Michigan’s Head and Neck Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) and is available in RedCap for UM investigators to join with discipline specific data collected on the same cohort through a de-identified ID link.

In addition, a copy of the blank consent form used to enroll volunteers in the study is included (17964_Adult Consent_2015Mar17-Mod 1_clean.pdf)., Clinical symptom and viral shedding data (in subject.json): reports each subject's accumulated and maximum self-reported symptom score (modified Jackson score) and shedding titrations from nasal-pharyngeal washes after inoculation. , RNAseq data (genematrix_TMP.csv): Whole blood was collected in PAXgene™ Blood RNA tubes (PreAnalytiX), and total RNA extracted using the PAXgene™ Blood miRNA Kit (QIAGEN) using the manufacturer’s recommended protocol. RNA quantity and quality were assessed using Nanodrop 2000 spectrophotometer (Thermo-Fisher) and Bioanalyzer 2100 with RNA 6000 Nano Chips (Agilent). RNA sequencing libraries were prepared using Illumina TruSeq mRNA Library Kit with RiboZero Globin depletion, and sequenced on an Illumina NextSeq sequencer with 50bp paired-end reads (target 40M reads per sample). After demultiplexing to FASTQ paired-end read counts files, the 396 samples were TPM transformed using HISAT2 software with the reference genome Homo_sapiens.GRCh38.84. Each sample corresponds to one of the 18 subjects at one of 22 time points. One of these samples was of insufficient quality to be mapped to read counts. In addition to the TPM normalized RNAseq data contained in this repository, the raw FASTQ data for the 395 samples are deposited in the GEO repository ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo), Accession # GSE215087. , Cognitive data (sample.json): Outcomes from a NeuroCognitive Performance Test (NCPT) that was taken approximately 3 time daily by all volunteers. The NCPT is a repeatable, web-based, computerized, cognitive assessment platform designed to measure subtle changes in performance across multiple cognitive domains. Subject scores along 18 cognitive variables data were collected at approximated 22 time points during the challenge study. The data structure sample.json contains the raw cognitive data and the extracted 18 cognitive scores over time for each subject. , The Visual Analog Fatigue Scale (sample.json): the VAFS is a measure of cognitive fatigue that was measured approximately 3 times per day at the same time as the NCPT and blood draw. , Wearable device data (sample.json): participants wore an Empatica E4 device for the duration of the challenge study. - Coastal wetlands intercept significant amounts of nitrogen (N) from watersheds, especially when surrounding land cover is dominated by agriculture and urban development. Through plant uptake, soil immobilization, and denitrification wetlands can remove excess N from flow through water sources and mitigate eutrophication of connected aquatic ecosystems. Excess N can also change plant community composition in wetlands, including communities threatened by invasive species. Understanding how variable hydrology and N loading impact wetland N removal and community composition can help attain desired management outcomes, including optimizing N removal and/or preventing invasion by non-natives. By using a dynamic, process-based ecosystem simulation model, we are able to simulate various levels of hydrology and N loading that would otherwise be difficult to manipulate. We investigate the effects of hydroperiod, hydrologic residence time, N loading, and the NH4+:NO3- ratio on both N removal and the invasion success of two non-native species (Typha x glauca or Phragmites australis) in temperate freshwater coastal wetlands using Mondrian, a process-based, wetland ecosystem simulation model. We found that when residence time increased, annual N removal increased up to 10-fold while longer hydroperiods also increased N removal, but only when residence time was >10 days and N loading was >30 g N m-2 y-1. N removal efficiency also increased with increasing residence time and hydroperiod, but was less affected by N loading. However, longer hydrologic residence time increased vulnerability of wetlands to invasion by both invasive plants at low to medium N loading rates where native communities are typically more resistant to invasion. This suggests a potential tradeoff between ecosystem services related to nitrogen removal and wetland invasibility. These results help elucidate complex interactions of community composition, N loading and hydrology on N removal, helping managers to prioritize N removal when N loading is high or controlling plant invasion in more vulnerable wetlands.

- The modern settlement of Inashauri lies in the foothills of the Lesser Caucasus within the valley of the Kvintsqali, 14 km east of Vani, approximately 4 km south of the main east-west road on the south side of the Phasis River plain, and approximately 1 km east of Zeda Bzvani. The village is located in the Vani administrative district. On the southwestern edge of the village, Jemal Futkaradze reported finding pithoi in the yard of his house (A055), and in the 1970s, Bejan Genelidze found a bronze figurine (the “tamada”) in his vineyard, which still exhibits abundant surface pottery (A056). Local informants in Inashauri said that there was a tunnel from the fortress on Meskhebisgora (A052) to Inashauri. A church with sculpted figural decoration (B017) and the findspot of a Roman grave (B018) are also located in the modern village of Inashauri.

- Jemal Futkaradze occupies a house overlooking the Phasis River plain in the village of Inashauri. When his father was building his wine cellar in the yard outside the house (i.e., digging pits in which to bury modern pithoi), he found ancient pithos graves containing pottery and jewelry. Jemal Futkaradze has also found bones about 0.20-25 m below the current ground surface, and he believes that the raised earth in his yard may cover the foundations of a structure. In addition, he and other local informants said that there was a tunnel running from the fortress on Meskhebisgora (A052) to this part of Inashauri.

- In 1958 Boris Chorbadze unearthed a Roman grave in the yard of his house, located within the modern village of Inashauri at 252 masl. The findspot of the grave is within a small plot of corn within the confines of his yard. The grave contained an iron dagger now held in the Vani Archaeological Museum (inv. # 2281), along with one large and one small spearhead, an axe, fragments of a belt, a curved knife, a stone bead, a clay phiale, a clay pot, fragments of a clay jug, some tools for hammering, fragments of a glass vessel, fragments of a ring, and one coin (Kharabadze 2008). These have all been lost. The coin was stamped with a double portrait of one old and one young man.

- The study investigates co-occurring PTSD and food addiction in a community sample with results stratified by gender. Data for co-occurring problematic substance use and obesity are also included to allow for within-sample comparison. Participants were asked to complete self-report measures on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), food addiction, problematic substance use (alcohol, cannabis, smoking, and nicotine vaping), and BMI. Participants also completed demographic questions. Pearson zero-order correlation analyses were conducted between primary variables of interest and demographic variables to identify potential sociodemographic covariates. Subjective socioeconomic status (SES) and age were both included as covariates in the current model. We estimated unadjusted and adjusted risk ratios among food addiction, PTSD, problematic substance use (i.e., alcohol, cannabis, smoking, and nicotine vaping) and obesity using Modified Poisson regression with robust standard error estimations. We ran these analyses for the whole same and stratified by gender identity. Food addiction co-occurred with PTSD at comparable or stronger rates than other types of problematic substance use (alcohol, cannabis, smoking, nicotine vaping). Results suggested that this risk may be particularly high for men compared to women. It may be important to assess for food addiction in those with PTSD to assist in identifying high-risk groups.

- On the west side of a hill located on the western outskirts of the modern village of Isriti is situated a modern cemetery below a lightly wooded area, where pithos burials have reportedly been found. In the wooded area, located at 250 masl, a number of pottery sherds were collected, all of which were locally made. Above the wooded area at approximately 350 masl is an open ridge, and running from a hollow to the top of the ridge, or just below it, and turning at an acute angle back down, is a wall built of limestone rubble. The stones are carefully chosen and unworked, but more or less equal in size and substantial; the wall is probably a modern fieldwall but is remarkable in a region where few such fieldwalls are made of stone. The explanation likely lies in the fact that the bedrock of the entire hill is easily accessible limestone visible just below the surface. At the very top of the ridge lies a cornfield at the summit of the hill, where a piece of burnt mud plaster and a pithos fragment were found. Below the ridge to the south is a grand modern farmhouse, and in the garden of the farmhouse is a sandstone column base (Mediaeval or modern) and a certain amount of Mediaeval pottery. Upstream from Isriti is a modern lime kiln. There are supposedly modern limestone quarries in the region. There are a number of large limestone outcroppings on the road that runs by Isriti along the Sulori River. These outcroppings were sampled by Giorgi Jaoshvili.

- The purpose of the research is to better understand and approximate the Thurston Set. This project was computational in nature and Python was used to collect our data. The data set contains encoded itineraries that can be used to compute values that are elements of the Thurston Set. A visual approximation of the Thurston Set can be found here ( https://arxiv.org/abs/1402.2008), on the first page Thurston’s own paper. The data can also be used to study the distribution of superattracting beta values within the interval (1, 2] and to explore an analogous Mandelbrot-Julia Correspondence. This research was conducted through the Lab of Geometry at Michigan under the advisement of Harrison Bray during the Fall semester of 2019. , The Python 3.x scripts in this deposit are the exact versions used to created the *.txt files that are in the zip archive. As the project continues, any expansion to the work, such as further analysis or visualization scripts, will be posted to the project's GitHub https://github.com/Tent-Maps-Team/Thurston-Set. Also, a user can reproduce our results and generate bigger datasets on machines with large amounts of memory. , and The data consists of zipper folders representing tent map itinerary orbit lengths. These orbit files can be used to create visualizations, create and explore conjectures such as refining proposed bounds on the Thurston Set and supporting an analogous Mandelbrot-Julia Correspondence. Within these zipped folders are .txt files in CSV format with the naming structure of xx_y of admissible itineraries up to the length indicated by the folder name where xx is the length of the encoded itineraries included. The txt's have a single column and each line(row) is an array representing an encoding of an itinerary. Some of the txt's have been split into multiple parts (whenever there are more than 200 MB of itinerary data) and these txt's have been numbered using the y after the underscore. As we exclude the degenerate tent map (where β = 1), we cannot have orbit length 1 or 2 and this is why the orbits start with length 3 (i.e. start with 3.zip).

- The modern settlement of Kveda Bzvani is situated east of Vani within the foothills that line the Phasis River plain, approximately 2 km south of the main east-west road on the south edge of the Phasis River plain. The village is located in the Vani administrative district. We investigated a pair of hills oriented northwest southeast on the outskirts of the village. The boundary between Kveda (Lower) Bzvani and Zeda (Upper) Bzvani actually runs between these hills, but they are considered here as a unit. Local toponyms for this area are Natsikhvari and Chitoula (“Place of Birds”). A corn field on the western slope of the northwestern hill is dense with surface pottery (A047); on the top of the hill are the mortared masonry remains of what appears to have been a fortified complex on a series of terraces (A048); on the eastern slope is a rock-cut chamber that may have been used as a chapel (A049). The southeastern hill is now occupied by a church and modern cemetery, but ancient pottery is visible in many places on the top and sides of the hill (A050).

- On the top of the northwestern hill investigated at Kveda Bzvani are the mortared masonry remains of what appears to be a fortified complex spread over a series of terraces sloping down from northwest to southeast. A stone staircase, reconstructed in the Soviet era, leads up the southeastern slope. At the top of the staircase, a meadow opens up to the northwest into a relatively level terrace, which is separated from a second and higher terrace by a moat-like dip running across the width of the meadow. The third and highest terrace occupies the largest area of the hilltop and contains the remains of several structures. To the east lie the low remains of two parallel walls oriented northwest-southeast, which appear to define an oblong room with an interior width of 5.80 m. The walls are built of limestone slabs set in white mortar. The western (upslope) wall is preserved to a height of 5 courses above the ground, while only the alignment of the downslope wall is visible, without clearly defined edges. The western wall is 0.45 m thick, 4.9 m in preserved length, and 0.50 m in preserved height. South of the walls is a round depression filled with stones. At the northwest extremity of the hilltop terrace is a possible cistern, 1.4 m by 1.5 m, fed by two sloping channels at its northeastern and southeastern corners. While there was no visible pottery on top of the hill, sherds are visible on the slopes of the hill just below the top (A047).

- Low on the eastern slope of the northwestern hill investigated at Kveda Bzvani is a rock-cut chamber that may have been used as a chapel. It is carved out of the soft bedrock of the hill, with visible pickmarks along the interior walls. The interior dimensions of the chamber are: 2.13 m wide, 2.75 m long, and 1.54 m high. It appears to have a roughly apsidal eastern end, suggesting its use as a small chapel, perhaps in association with the fortress on top of the hill (A048).

- On the western edge of of the modern village of Kveda Gora is a hill rising to an elevation of 220 masl and topped by a fortress that is essentially a triangular enclosure with a tower at the east end. It is located on the high point of a southeast-northwest oriented ridge, which falls away steeply to the north, east, and southwest. The structure is built of mortared rubble and is oriented east-west on its longitudinal axis. The enclosure is approximately 20 m in length with a maximum width of about 15 m. The square tower is 5 m on each side. The heavily damaged walls are at least 1.1 m thick, and may have originally been thicker.

- The modern village of Kveda Tsikhesulori is located 3 km west of Vani at 40 masl and is in the Vani administrative district. The area of Ketchinara is a residential zone at the eastern outskirts of the modern village of Kveda Tsikhesulori, located directly below the Vani Archaeological Museum, along the west (left) bank of the Tchishura stream. In 2010 six points of interest were documented in this area: the findspot of a pithos burial dated to the 6th-4th centuries B.C.; Hellenistic and Classical pottery eroding from the landslide deposit on the west (left) stream bank of the Tchishura by the village of Kveda Tsikhesulori; the findspot of a pithos burial of a child dated to the Hellenistic period (4th-3rd centuries B.C.); the findspot of a red-figure skyphos; the findspot of a third pithos burial; and a hoard of coins of the 11th century A.D. - Six points of interest have been documented in the area of Ketchinara at approximately 50 masl. First is the findspot of a pithos burial dated to the 6th-4th centuries B.C., located in the backyard of one of the houses in the area, approximately 200 m north of the museum along a cobblestone road leading to Tchishura stream. Second is a landslide deposit containing Classical and Hellenistic pottery on the west (left) stream bank of the Tchishura by the village of Kveda Tsikhesulori. Third is the findspot of a pithos burial of a child dated to the Hellenistic period (4th-3rd centuries B.C.) located approximately 50 m uphill from the landslide deposit by Tchishura stream. The burial was discovered and excavated by Sulkhan Kharabadze (Kharabadze ND). Fourth is the findspot of a red-figure skyphos in the front yard of a house on the top of the hill at the end of the cobblestone road. The skyphos, which was found in 1958, is of Attic production of the Fat Boy Group and is now held in the Vani Archaeological Museum (inv. # 2:985-676). Sulkhan Kharabadze carried out excavations here three years ago and did not find a cultural layer. The elderly woman living in the house indicated that she had also found ceramics in the cornfield next to her house. Fifth is the findspot of a third pithos burial found in the woods behind the same house at the base of the hill south of the museum. The burial was found by a man who had worked in the Vani Museum as an electrician and who donated all of the artifacts to the museum. Sixth is a hoard of thirteen coins of the 11th century A.D. found approximately 50 m uphill from a house.

The Bayesian Network is coded in the BUGS language. Water balance computations assume that monthly change in storage for a given lake is the difference between beginning of month water levels surrounding each month. - This dataset contains experimental measurements of a flat-plate airfoil passing through a large-amplitude transverse gust. The dataset contains an ensemble of of the airfoil-gust encounter to account for variability in the gust profile, and each realization contains time-resolved force measurements and planar PIV velocity fields. All data are stored within hdf5 files, and a Matlab script showing how the data can be read and manipulated is provided. Please see the ‘airfoilEXP_README.pdf’ file for more information. We recommend using the ‘airfoilEXP_example.zip’ file as an entry point to the dataset. and The dataset is part of “A database for reduced-complexity modeling of fluid flows” (see references below) and is intended to aid in the conception, training, demonstration, evaluation, and comparison of reduced-complexity models for fluid mechanics. The paper introduces the flow setup and computational methods, describes the available data, and provides an example of how these data can be used for reduced-complexity modeling.
