Methodology
  • A comprehensive search was run in Ovid MEDLINE, PsycInfo (EBSCOHost), Embase (Embase.com via Elsevier), Scopus (Scopus.com via Elsevier), PTSDpubs (ProQuest), Dissertations & Theses (ProQuest), and the Cochrane Library. In addition to database searching, we followed several supplementary search procedures, including reviewing the reference lists of relevant review articles and studies included in this analysis, and asking contacted authors for further study suggestions. We reached out to the corresponding authors of studies that met our inclusion criteria to request their data for our statistical analysis.
Description
  • An individual participant data meta-analysis was conducted to examine 1) the degree to which bedtime, wake time, and chronotype correlate with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) severity among individuals diagnosed with PTSD, 2) the standardized mean difference in bedtime, wake time, and chronotype for those with and without a PTSD diagnosis, and 3) moderators of these relationships. This deposit includes the full dataset used for data analyses. No proprietary software is required to open any of these files.
