  • This is one of the 96 archaeological points of interest recorded by the Vani Archaeological Survey between 2009 and 2011.   • The survey team investigated the area around Kveda Bzvani on 24 June 2009 and returned in 2010 to carry out intensive survey on the western slope of the northwestern hill, in a cornfield dense with surface pottery (A047). We identified four points of interest.
Description
  • On the western slope of the northwestern hill investigated at Kveda Bzvani is a corn field dense with surface pottery. Sherds collected included fragments of Rhodian amphorae; miscellaneous f ragments of other unidentified imported wares; and fragments of local Colchian pottery of the Iron Age, Classical, and late Hellenistic periods.
