Title: Student Writing Eportfolio: "Jenna's" Capstone Open Access Deposited

Methodology
  • This link will download a zipped folder of files created with SiteSucker, “a Macintosh application that automatically downloads websites from the Internet. It does this by asynchronously copying the site's webpages, images, PDFs, style sheets, and other files to your local hard drive, duplicating the site's directory structure” (SiteSucker Manual:  https://ricks-apps.com/osx/sitesucker/archive/2.x/2.6.x/2.6/manuals/en/pgs/Overview.html). To open the eportfolio website compressed in this zipped folder, you will need to double-click on the subfolder titledfirstnamelastname.wordpress.com (e.g., kaylacockrum.wordpress.com), and then double-click on the file titled index.html. Opening this file will launch a browser window showing the eportfolio home page, and from there you will be able to navigate the eportfolio website offline. Because this site is offline, external links to online urls will not function. (Please note that SiteSucker is not compatible with the Chrome browser, and should be opened using Firefox or Safari browsers.)
Description
  • This eportfolio was created for the Gateway course of the Sweetland Minor in Writing to provide an opportunity for students to reflect on their growing identities as writers, as captured in their text-based and multimodal compositions produced over the Gateway semester. The title of the work contains the pseudonym created for the study while the creator field lists the student's given name to allow proper attribution for their work. The eportfolio is collected here as an artifact in the Sweetland Writing Development Study, which has been published as Developing Writers in Higher Education: A Longitudinal Study (University of Michigan Press, 2019).
