Methodology
  • Computed tomographic (CT) scans were performed at the University of Michigan Computed Tomography in Earth and Environmental Science facility (“CTEES”) in Ann Arbor, MI, USA., using a Nikon XT H 225ST uCT system. Scans were collected with the following settings: energy settings, 175–205 kV, 200–255 uA; source to object distance, XXXX mm; source to detector distance, XXXX mm; scanned with XXXX projections; voxel size, x = XXXXX mm y = XXXXX mm z = XXXXXX mm; slice dimension (in pixels), x = XXXXX, y = XXXXX; number of slices, XXXXX 16-bit TIFF images.
Description
  • The scanned humerus is an isolated element that is referred to the pterosaur Arambourgiania philadelphiae. The element is accessioned to Yarmouk University (YUPC-RUSEIFA-1) in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The specimen was collected from Late Cretaceous-aged sediments at the Ruseifa Quarry in central Jordan.
