Methodology
  • Specimen UMMP VP 81831 was scanned with a Nikon XT H 225ST μCT system housed in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan. Scans were collected with the following settings: energy settings, 110 kV, 80 µA; source to object distance, 33.735508 mm; scanned with 1570 projections; voxel size, x = y = z = 0.012212 mm; slice dimension (in pixels), x = 638, y = 571; number of slices, 460 16-bit TIFF images. Additional metadata can be found in the xtek and vgi files.
Description
  • Reconstructed CT slices for a right navicular of Cantius mckennai (University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology catalog number UMMP VP 81831), as a series of TIFF images. Raw projections are not included in this dataset.

Format:
The reconstructed slice data from the scan are offered here as a series of TIFF images. At the time of posting, this format can be loaded in a variety of viewers, such as 3D Slicer, Amira, Avizo, Dragonfly, ImageJ, and VG Studio. Projections are not included in this dataset.
