Methodology
  • This link will download a zipped folder of PDF files. Each file contains the anonymized transcript of one entry or exit interview from a participant in the study. Any names present in the file or file name are pseudonyms assigned to the participant. The file name identifies the participant's study number and/or pseudonym and whether the transcript is an entry or exit interview. The files can be exported to .txt format for corpus analysis using the File > Save as Text function in Adobe Acrobat. Individual files can be downloaded through the Resources tab on the monograph's Fulcrum website ( https://www.fulcrum.org/concern/monographs/ww72bc25j), and sets of files associated with particular study participants can be located using the tags in this interface.
Description
  • The interviews included in this folder were conducted as part of a longitudinal study in writing development published in Developing Writers in Higher Education: A Longitudinal Study (University of Michigan Press, 2019). Interviews were conducted upon students' entry into the study (files labelled "entry") and exit from the study (files labelled "exit"). To learn more about this study, please see the epublication  https://doi.org/10.3998/mpub.10079890 and the website  https://www.developingwritersbook.org/pages/about/about-the-study/.
