Methodology
  • We conducted a randomized, controlled, educational intervention study that focused on residency trained or board certified emergency physicians practicing in the United States. We developed simulated clinical scenarios and scoring rubrics based on prior work. We recruited practicing emergency physicians at an annual meeting. Study team members blinded to the treatment group assignment reviewed and scored the responses. Our planned pre-specified primary analysis was the comparison of the total scores for the intervention versus control groups using a Student’s t test.
