This work contains data and codes used to prepare plots and results for the following journal paper (open access): "Comparison of anorectal function measured using wearable digital manometry and a high resolution manometry system" Ali Attari ,William D. Chey,Jason R. Baker,James A. Ashton-Miller PLOS ONE, Published: September 29, 2020 https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0228761 This work include: "Analyses_H1_H2.m" Matlab code to test hypothesis H1 & H2 in the paper above by analyzing DM and HR-ARM pressure data (and EMG values for DM) from subjects that are stored in "DM_HR-ARM_Data.mat". It generates six base MATLAB plots (*.fig) that are brought together in the Fig 5(A-D) and Fig 6 of the paper. Please refer to the comment section at the beginning of the file. Please only use MATLAB R2018a or higher (Mathworks, Natick, MA, USA) to run this. "DM_HR-ARM_Data.mat" DM and HR-ARM pressure data (and EMG values for DM) from subjects. This file is not meant to be opened standalone. Please use "Analyses_H1_H2.m" code which accesses this file. “Survey_Data.csv” Summary of the surveys on the comfort level of each device is stored in “Survey_Data.csv”. “Analyses_H3.m” Use MATLAB again to run the “Analyses_H3.m” to get the p-values for comparison of the comfort levels. “DM Intraobserver Variability.xlsx” Provides the Intraobserver variability for the DM device. For HR-ARM, please refer to the literature. “DM Intraobserver Variability.csv” Comma separated format of “DM Intraobserver Variability.xlsx” in case there is a compatibility issue. NOTE: In all files, units for all pressure data are in [mmHg]. Units for EMG change data are in [uV/uV]. for more information please contact the corresponding author below. -- Ali Attari, PhD (attari@umich.edu) University of Michigan Biomechanics Research Laboratory College of Engineering University of Michigan 10/25/2020
