DescriptionString: Reconstructed CT slices for Snout region of Macroprosopon (catalog number FSAC CP 330; FSAC = Faculty of Sciences Aïn Chock, Casablanca, Morocco) as a series of TIFF images. Raw projections are not included in this dataset. The reconstructed slice data from the scan are offered here as a series of unsigned 16-bit integer TIFF images. The upper left corner of the first image (*_0000.tif) is the XYZ origin. MethodString: Specimen FSAC CP 330_Macroprosopon_Snout region was scanned with a Nikon XT H 225ST uCT system housed in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan. Scans were collected with the following settings: energy settings, 220 kV, 135 uA; source to object distance, 222.761737823486 mm; source to detector distance, 1105.0 mm; scanned with 3141 projections; voxel size, x = 0.0403188671751846 mm y = 0.0403188671751846 mm z = 0.0403188671751846 mm; slice dimension (in pixels), x = 1514, y = 2000; number of slices, 1901 16-bit TIFF images. Original floating point grey values were scaled to span the unsigned 16-bit integer range using an offset of 5950.0126953125 and a scale factor of 7.845722710070697, where 16output = SCALE * (32input + OFFSET).
