README FILE FOR “Mande Jalkunan audio files“ Background: These audio files are recordings of people speaking the Jalkunan language. Jalkunan is a Mande language spoken in the village cluster of Blédougou near Sindou in southwestern Burkina Faso. The recordings were made in 2016 in Blédougou by Jeffrey Heath using a handheld Tascam digital mike, in .mp3 formats. A reference grammar of Jalkunan by Jeffrey Heath was published electronically in 2017.
