This paper focuses on a limited number of issues that are either most discussed in the literature or are particularly important from the policy point of view: one aspect of inter-industry wage structure--the impact of high wage industry on other wage rates; differentials between skilled and unskilled manual workers; manual-clerical or blue and white collar differentials; and seeveral issues of wage structure in the public sector--policy on differentials between highest and lowest paid government employees and the problem of wage relationships between various layers or segments of the public sector.en_US
