dc.description.abstractIn this paper I will look at wages in the context of the overall employment problem in LDCs. The goal is limited: to sort out those aspects of wage-employment relationships which appear to merit major concern, from those in which wages are or seem to be of marginal importance, and to explore some of the policy implications that emerge from the analysis.en_US
