dc.description.abstract | Audio recording of oral history from James Davis. Covers training at Snetterton Heath and a detailed account of the mission, getting shot down over Nazi Germany on May 12, 1944, and his experiences as a Prisoner of War during World War II. Also briefly discusses service in the Korean War, and his life since then. Originally recorded to be sent to a friend, Carl, in Czechoslavakia in the 1970s. To this recording is added an addendum about the trip from the United States to England, recorded about ten years later. | en_US |
