dc.description.abstractAudio recordings of oral history interviews with Laura Basch and Arlene Moody conducted from 1993-1995 and in 2009. Series of interviews with Laura Basch conducted by Tom Van Zoeren from 1993 to 1995 cover her life in the Port Oneida area, including school and work on the farm in her youth and adulthood. Also includes information about food produced, purchased, and consumed, stories of people in the area, etc. Members of the Basch, Oleson, Eckhert, Miller, Anderson, Dechow, Kelderhouse, Thoreson, and other families discussed. Interview with Arlene Moody conducted November 25, 2009 by Tom Van Zoeren discusses Basch family history and information about members of other families in the Port Oneida area such as the Olsen family and Schmidt family. Description of recordings based on summaries and partial transcripts available in 'Information on Farms, Families, etc.' series.en_US
