dc.description.abstract | Video recording [13:19] of an interview with Lynn Rivers, who worked for Jean Ledwith King as a Law Clerk from 1989 to 1991. Rivers talks about how she first met King on the Ann Arbor School Board in the mid-1980s. She also discusses particular cases such as those against the Department of Labor and Eastern Michigan University, which King did not win, and the lessons learned from that experience. Rivers also recounts how she brought King's values to her time serving in Congress and that King directly encouraged her to run for political office. | en_US |
