Abstract
Video recording [11:14] of an interview with the Honorable Nancy Francis, a judge for the Washtenaw County Trial Court. She talks about how she first met King when she was only 7 years old and King was doing political work but got to know her well after finishing her education and beginning to practice law herself. She gives examples of working together on cases for the ACLU [American Civil Liberties Union] such as a Vietnam-era anti-war case. Overall, she 'can't think about anybody who has done more for women's rights than Jean, at least in the modern age.' [Note: Later in 2011, Nancy Francis changed her name back to Nancy Wheeler, her maiden name.]Other Identifiers
