Abstract
Video recording [13:35] of an interview with Carol Hutchins, a member of the Women's Basketball Team at Michigan State University from 1976 to 1979 and head coach of the University of Michigan Women's Softball Team beginning in 1985. Hutchins discusses her experience on the MSU Women's Basketball team, feeling grateful for having the opportunity to play at all despite the significant inequities existing between the men and women's teams. In 1979, team members brought their concerns to Jean Ledwith King in Ann Arbor, who took the case. Hutchins also comments on the difference King has made in society and her legacy for women.Other Identifiers
