A total of fifteen interviews were conducted across several Great Lakes states and all lake basins, using a grounded theory approach to inform the development of a broader and more comprehensive survey instrument. Professionals working in community planning and natural resource management in the Great Lakes region have similar information and training needs for climate adaptation in coastal communities. Chief among concerns was the need for improved coordination at all scales and access to local information to address changes in regional climate and management of water quality and quantity.en_US
