    Abstract

Press materials and incident reports related to Angel's Night, an event established by former Mayor Dennis Archer in 1995 to ensure public safety and prevent incidents of arson in Detroit around October 29-31 (a period formerly known as Devil's Night). Approximately 40,000 Detroiters help patrol the city and are credited with a marked decrease in fires and acts of vandalism.
