Statement of Problem: During the period of fall 2004 through the fall of 2010 there were 2973 University of Michigan-Flint (U of M-Flint) students who declared Biology as a major. During the same time period, only 273 of the students who graduated earned a degree in Biology. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of biology majors who are likely to be at-risk of not making satisfactory academic progress, in their major, thus may benefit from counseling or the use of assistive technology in the form of a web-based instructional Cell Biology game.
