dc.descriptionThe Special Collections Library presents "Clues Beyond Sherlock Holmes" to celebrate the acquisition of the Parker Family Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Collection and the 150th anniversary of the birth of Conan Doyle. Numbering over 2000 items, the collection consists of Doyle's poetry and his writings in fiction, true crime, war and propaganda, and spiritualism. There are early and recent editions tracing the popularity of Sherlock Holmes for more than one hundred years, photographs and other biographical materils, and a most amazing gathering of Holmes ephemera. In addition to these primary sources, the collection includes a large body of scholarship on Holmes, Doyle, and the history that shaped them both.
