dc.description | The overall objective of this case is to provide students with an opportunity to focus on the important aspects of the social history and how it relates to the current medical issues at hand. In this session we want to focus on their skills in obtaining adequate and useful information about the patient's social context in the medical interview. This module has been found to help first and second year medical students understand the role physicians have in caring for patients with limited English proficiency. This case is designed to be delivered in small group interactions with a faculty facilitator. It can be done in one setting or over 2 sessions. | |
