An intramolecular, Schmidt reaction of an alkyl azide with a carbocation. The generation and rearrangement of a conformationally restricted secondary aminodiazonium ion.
(Elsevier, 1992-09-08)
Treatment of azidoalkene 2 with triflic acid produced the bridged bicyclic enamine 3 by an intramolecular Schmidt reaction. Rearrangement of the intermediate aminodiazonium ion 5 is completely regioselective.
Studies on morpholinosphingolipids: Potent inhibitors of glucosylceramide synthase
(Elsevier, 1994-04-25)
Synthetic 1-morpholino-1-deoxyceramides were designed to inhibit glucosylceramide synthase. The most potent inhibitor 2a possesses the unnatural R,R-configuration of D-threo-sphingosine.
Further localization of a gene for paroxysmal dystonic choreoathetosis to a 5-cM region on chromosome 2q34
(Springer-Verlag; Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg, 1998-01)
Paroxysmal dystonic choreoathetosis (PDC) is a rare neurological disorder characterized by episodes of involuntary movement, involving the extremities and face, which may occur spontaneously or be precipitated by caffeine, ...
Transferrin: A potential source of iron for oxygen free radical-mediated endothelial cell injury
(Elsevier, 1992-04)
The ability of transferrin to potentiate oxygen free radical-mediated endothelial cell injury was assessed. 51Cr-labeled endothelial cells derived from rat pulmonary arteries (RPAECs) were incubated with hydrogen peroxide ...
Reappraisal of studies concerning the genetic effects of the radiation of humans, mice, and Drosophila
(John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 1998)

Expression of prodynorphin-derived peptides and mRNA in guinea-pig cortex
(Elsevier, 1993-08)
The distributions and extent of processing of four prodynorphin-derived peptides (dynorphin A (1-17), dynorphin A (1-8), dynorphin B, and [alpha]-neoendorphin) were determined in ten regions of the cortex as well as in the ...
Refined localization of human connexin32 gene locus, GJB1, to Xq13.1
(Elsevier, 1992-06)
Connexins are the peptide subunits of gap junctions that interconnect cells to allow the direct, intercellular transfer of small molecules. Recently, the human connexin32 gene (locus designation GJB1) has been regionally ...
Protein separation using membrane-encapsulated soluble ligand conjugates
(Elsevier, 1990-05)
A new approach for isolating and recovering biological macromolecules using membrane-encapsulated soluble ligand conjugates was investigated. Membrane-encapsulated solid adsorbents have been successfully developed and ...
Investigations into the route of uptake and pharmacokinetics of intraperitoneally-administered monoclonal antibodies: I. Transdiaphragmatic blockade of the terminal lymphatics in the rat
(Springer-Verlag, 1990-11)
Recent studies on the intraperitoneal administration of radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies indicate that the diaphragm and, in particular, the lymphatics associated with the diaphragm are more involved in the transport of ...
tRNA‐guanine transglycosylase from Escherichia coli: recognition of full‐length ‘queuine‐cognate' tRNAs
(Wiley Periodicals, Inc., 1998-07-24)
