dc.description.abstract | The focus of this paper is a comparison of minority employment prospects in public and private sector labor markets. The purpose is to provide answers to questions that may concern young minority job candidates in their assessment of future career objectives. In assessing future career objectives, should some consideration be given to their skin color by young minority job candidates? Are minorities more likely to find employment in public sector labor markets than they are in the private sector? What are the prospects for job retention and advancement for minorities in public versus private sector labor markets? | |
