dc.description.abstract | Simple regression and correlation analyses were conducted between quality of care variables and three types of ownership: for-profit facilities, nonprofit facilities, and county medical care facilities. The analysis indicated that higher total staffing hours/patient is positively associated with nonprofit and county medical care facilities, when compared to for-profit facilities. Staffing behavior may be more heavily influenced by the current reimbursement system than simply by the type of ownership of a facility. | |
