dc.description.abstract | The Physician Goal Commitment Model provides a framework, based on prior research, in which to explore the resulting conflicts between physicians' personal goals and the organizational goals of managed care providers. The utility of this model is to provide information regarding total commitment and to identify specific conflict situations, using group specific scenarios, presented in survey or questionnaire form. Successful resolution of conflicts by physicians will indicate areas contributing significantly to higher overall commitment, while unsuccessful resolution of conflicts suggest barriers to a cooperative, efficient, and effective care delivery system. | |
